Powering the first-ever at-scale interactive holographic ad network and experiential activations with Hologram Media Network + Proto Hologram.

Pretty Big Monster partnered with the Hologram Media Network to deploy next generation hologram display units across major malls in America and activations. Powered by Proto Hologram technology, each box functions as a volumetric display that allows brands to appear as if they physically occupy space inside the audience’s environment.
PBM produced a steady stream of platform ready content using volumetric space, motion, character performance, client assets and interactivity to transform short form media into high visibility destination moments.
We treated the hologram boxes not as screens, but as immersive, interactive display cases. For each campaign, PBM developed original motion design, custom animation, in-environment character staging, and interactive elements—all optimized for a unique display format with specific spatial rules.
Across blockbuster films, iconic brands, and seasonal campaigns, we built a new category of out-of-home storytelling.
Client: Warner Bros.

Client: Mozilla
Format: Interactive Hologram Experience
Mozilla used TwitchCon 2025 as a platform to launch its Open What You Want campaign, focused on providing users ownership over their own data.
With Firefox being the only browser not backed by a billionaire, PBM came in by creating a hologram box experience that allowed attendees to create and puppet their own little cartoon billionaires, subverting the power held by the world's richest.
Attendees then witnessed their billionaire avatars blast into space, literally, via a livestream attached to a satellite launch.
Client: Warner Bros.
Format: :60 Interactive Hologram Experience
In a first-of-its-kind offering, PBM built a possessed, interactive mirror to haunt shoppers in the weeks leading up to the final installment of the beloved The Conjuring franchise.
By combining a replicated 3D mirror from the film and the hologram box’s front-facing camera, shoppers saw a real-time reflection of their shopping environment as if they were actually looking into a mirror. Then, in true horror fashion, the reflection distorted, darkened, and ultimately revealed a demon figure hiding behind the mirror’s broken glass.
Client: Coca-Cola
Format: :60 Interactive Hologram Experience
PBM created a holiday Coca-Cola moment centered on joy, refreshment, and shareability.
Utilizing the hologram box camera, shoppers saw themselves reflected in a Coca-Cola branded ornament as an opportunity to capture festive selfies and shareable content. A Coca-Cola–themed holiday Santa resolved the experience with a QR code that linked directly to seasonal product samplers.
The result blended brand love with a family-friendly, highly photogenic activation.
Client: Netflix, Snap
Format: :60 Interactive Hologram Experience
For the Netflix original animated feature film, In Your Dreams, we introduced the world to Baloney Tony, allowing audiences to puppet his movements via body tracking capabilities from Snap’s AR tech stack.
Shoppers had fun dancing as Tony as colorful balls dropped in and interacted with the box through real-world physics. At the end of the experience, users could scan a QR code to find the accompanying AR-based experience on the Snap app.
Client: Converse
Format: :60 Custom Animation + :30 Influencer-Led Spot
A multi-pronged content campaign designed and created with a youthful, laid-back feel for Converse’s core audience.
PBM built a fully custom 3D animation where multiple Converse Double Stack shoes bounced, flipped, and spun through the hologram box’s full 3D space. The movement synced to a street-inspired track, turning the product itself into a character.
Influencer Devyn Winkler took viewers through four looks styled around four Converse shoes.
The piece was framed intentionally through a social UI aesthetic, with swipes and taps on a virtual carousel cataloging different Converse shoes to bring an energetic, social feel to the hologram format. Viewers could scan a QR code that drove straight to nearby Journey’s retailer with a limited time discount coupon.
Client: Paramount Pictures
Format: :60 Hologram Spot + AR Extension
A high-energy :60 hologram piece that amplified the Sonic vs. Shadow rivalry at the heart of the film’s marketing campaign.
Using the box’s volumetric depth, we built an immersive montage focused on speed-driven signature character moves and stat callouts. The result was a kinetic, character-powered experience that brought the movie’s central showdown to life in a way only a hologram box could.
A QR code unlocked a playful holiday AR surprise: a themed object fans could place in their environment for selfies and social sharing.
Client: Sony Pictures
Format: :60 Hologram Spot + TikTok Game
We leaned into the warmth and universal appeal that Paddington Bear has by crafting a hologram montage built entirely from adorable film toolkit moments.
To extend the experience, PBM built a custom Paddington face-matching mini-game for TikTok, accessible via QR scan as a whimsical tie-in that rewarded audiences with the eye-to-eye of charm that only the bear from darkest Peru can offer.
Client: Bath & Body Works
Format: :30 Hologram Spot
We cycled through three key product setups for Bath and Body Works 2025 holiday campaign:
Each scene matched the sensory feel of the product while leveraging the dimensional quality of these volumetric displays.
Client: Simon Property Group
Format: :30 Hologram Spot
To spread holiday cheer and encourage participation at Simon Malls, PBM captured a beloved “Singing Santa” impersonator delivering a warm, musical invitation encouraging families to visit the official Santa meet & greet.
Capturing the actor on a white backdrop allowed them to appear as if they are really standing there in the box. This bit of optical magic aligned well for this wholesome holiday campaign and drove record visits straight to Santa’s lap.
From horror to holiday to fashion, every piece was designed specifically for volumetric display. PBM adapted the storytelling language to each property and delivered moments that naturally funneled into a mobile content extension and sales pipeline.
Across all campaigns, the unique creative delivered:
The hologram creative went beyond ad placements and became attractions in themselves, powered by PBM’s design, animation, and immersive storytelling.
